1. Data Protection at a Glance

General Notes

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website or use our services. Personal data is all data with which you can be personally identified.

2. Hosting and Content Delivery Networks (CDN)

External Hosting

This website is hosted by an external service provider (hoster). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the hoster’s servers. This may include, but is not limited to, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website access, and other data generated via a website.

The hoster is used for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast, and efficient provision of our online offer by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with our hoster. This ensures that the hoster processes the data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. General Information and Mandatory Information

Data Security (SSL or TLS Encryption)

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

Storage Duration

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, provided we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., tax or commercial retention periods); in the latter case, the deletion will take place after these reasons cease to apply.

Your Rights

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to:

  • Information about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Correction of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR),
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Objection to processing (Art. 21 GDPR).

If you have given us consent to process your data, you can revoke this at any time for the future.

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

4. Data Collection on this Website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device.

We use exclusively technically necessary cookies on our website. These include in particular:

  • A cookie to store the language setting you have chosen (German/English).
  • Cookies required for technical settings and the correct display of the website.

Legal basis:
The storage of these cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services.

Note on Analysis Tools:
We do not use any third-party analysis cookies (such as Google Analytics) and do not create advertising profiles. Since only technically necessary cookies are used, active consent by the user is technically and legally not required; the cookie banner serves purely for your information.

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Statistical Analysis (Webalizer)

For the statistical evaluation of the server log files mentioned above, we use the tool “Webalizer” on our server.
The tool works locally on our systems and only evaluates the technical log files (e.g., to display visitor numbers or the most popular pages). No data transfer to third-party servers (e.g., Google) takes place. No usage profiles of you are created.
The analysis serves exclusively to optimize our web offer and for troubleshooting (legitimate interest acc. to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact Requests (Email, Phone)

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry including all resulting personal data (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

The processing of this data is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Special Services & Remote Maintenance

Remote Maintenance via RustDesk

We use the software “RustDesk” or comparable remote maintenance tools to provide support services and for troubleshooting on customer systems.

Nature and Purpose of Processing:
Within the scope of a remote maintenance session, we can view the user’s screen contents and – after explicit approval by the customer – perform control operations on their end device. In this process, personal data (e.g., IP address, computer name, session ID, as well as all data visible on the screen) is inevitably processed.

Legal Basis:
The use of RustDesk is carried out for the fulfillment of our contract with you for IT support services (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Without data processing, remote maintenance is technically not possible.

Storage Duration:
The connection data (log files of the session) are stored by us within the framework of statutory retention obligations and deleted after the expiry of the retention periods. Recording of screen contents (video) does not take place without separate, explicit consent.

Data Processing Agreement:
Insofar as we have access to personal data of third parties (e.g., employee data on your server) within the scope of remote maintenance, we act as a processor in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. We recommend that our commercial customers conclude a corresponding Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with us.

6. Web Hosting Services for Customers

Insofar as we provide web hosting services for you (provision of web space, email mailboxes, domains), we process your inventory and content data.

The processing takes place for the purpose of providing the contractually agreed hosting services (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We may use technical infrastructure service providers (data centers) for this purpose, with whom we have concluded corresponding data protection agreements.
